The Truthful Facts Behind MLM

By Michael McDougal

Multi Level Marketing sounds like a good thing and a tragic scheme all at the same time. If you have done any reading about MLM, you may be knowledgeable about this. Basically, it is the pyramid structure that MLM operates on.

You get hired by someone to sell things, you hire others to sell things, they hire others and so on and so forth. Everyone in the pyramid gets paid a commission until it filters on down the system. But, the system rarely operates like that. This shows that it would be wise to figure out what is really going on with MLM before you get knee deep into it.

MLM opportunities have been touted as a superior business model, capable of making almost anyone money their first time out. This is absolutely wrong. Sadly, less than 1% of those that invest their hard-earned money into an MLM turn a profit of any amount. Starting an online business, promoting your products and services, will probably make you more cash. For the most part, MLM is an unreliable business model that is hard to work and make money for a variety of reasons. One good book keeping error and the whole system falls apart. It has been said that "Network marketing is the best way to get new products on the market in existence today". Is this actually true? It's actually a lie. Doing personal retail sales, particularly door to door type of sales like the kind that most MLM people rely upon is over. The old way of selling no longer exists. In fact, new ways that are much more efficient are being used to promote services and products everyday. The business model for MLM, if you hadn't noticed already, is based upon recruiting others to do most of the work in your business. Most of the people that get in believe exactly that, and therefore no one does any work at all.

It is often that MLM recruiters will tell others that it will be easy to earn money in only a month's time. The truth is that it can often take you more than a month to get your business up and running in a predictable way. This will mean going through the registration process, getting directions from your recruiters and then waiting for the right products to be delivered. Then you have to actually promote the products. Then you are responsible for hiring the people who will work under you. It might take some time before you make any money.

Plenty of multi level marketers want you to believe that there is no risk involved with this type of business. This is because you can return the product,if you do not sell it. When it comes to returning products, a lot of programs ' policies are not easy to decipher in terms of product returns. You do not have a lot of time to get these products returned. Most times the amount of money spent on the original product is never fully returned. MLM has been associated with being absolutely pointless as a business model for the majority of people for a very long time. Unfortunately, with so many newbies looking for ways to get rich quick without doing any work falling for the marketing hype, it's obvious to see how MLM continues to survive. Those who do get sucked into MLm after falling for the hype are the ones who end up losing money, losing friends, and then losing faith in the idea of making money online at all. Don't become one of these people!
